1.1. These Terms & Conditions apply to all guests and members using the Spa, Thermal Suite, Gym, Beauty Rooms, and Leisure Club at Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood.
1.2. By booking, purchasing a membership, or using our facilities, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
1.3. The Hotel reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.
1.4. Facility access, treatments, and memberships are subject to availability and operational schedules.
2.1. All treatments and Spa access must be pre-booked to ensure availability.
2.2. Full payment is required at the time of booking on the day of treatment unless otherwise stated.
2.3. All treatments booked in advance must be paid for at least 48 hours prior to the appointment to secure the booking. Failure to do so may result in cancellation.
2.4. Gift vouchers must be presented at the time of redemption and cannot be exchanged for cash.
2.5. Group bookings (6 or more guests) may require a deposit or full prepayment.
2.6. Membership fees are payable in advance, either in full (prepaid) or by monthly instalments, depending on the membership type.
2.7. All payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
3.1. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before an appointment will receive a full refund or credit for rescheduling.
3.2. Cancellations made within 48 hours will incur a 50% charge.
3.3. No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged in full.
3.4. Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time without a price reduction.
3.5. Annual memberships cannot be cancelled mid-term except in exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical reasons or relocation).
3.6. Flexible memberships may be cancelled with one month’s notice.
3.7. Membership freezes may be offered at management’s discretion.
4.1. Annual and joint memberships are contracted for a 12-month period unless stated otherwise.
4.2. Flexible memberships operate on a rolling monthly basis with no long-term commitment.
4.3. Off-peak memberships provide access only during designated off-peak hours.
4.4. Concession and corporate rates require valid proof of eligibility.
4.5. Membership fees are subject to annual review, with any increase capped at 5% per year.
4.6. Memberships are non-transferable and valid only for the named individual.
5.1. Members and guests must check in at reception upon each visit.
5.2. Friends & Family memberships are available only to nominated individuals linked to eligible associates.
5.3. Spa Treatment Credits (where included) must be booked in advance and are non-transferable.
5.4. The minimum age for Spa and Thermal Suite access is 16 years.
5.5. Proper swimwear must be worn in the Thermal Suite at all times.
5.6. To maintain a tranquil environment, mobile phones and cameras are not permitted.
5.7. Outside food and alcoholic beverages are not allowed within Spa or leisure facilities.
6.1. Access includes use of the gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and relaxation areas.
6.2. Additional services such as spa treatments and fitness classes may require booking and are subject to availability.
6.3. The Hotel reserves the right to close or restrict access to facilities for maintenance or special events, with prior notice where possible.
7.1. All guests and members must complete a health questionnaire or consultation form before using facilities or receiving treatments.
7.2. Guests must disclose any medical conditions, pregnancy, or allergies before treatment.
7.3. The Spa reserves the right to refuse treatment or access if a guest is deemed unsuitable due to medical conditions or intoxication.
7.4. Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn in fitness areas.
7.5. Use of all facilities is at the guest’s or member’s own risk.
7.6. The Spa and Hotel are not liable for injuries or health issues resulting from undisclosed medical conditions.
7.7. The Spa and Gym are not responsible for lost or stolen items; lockers are provided for secure storage.
8.1. Guests and members must behave respectfully toward staff and other users at all times.
8.2. Disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour may result in refusal of service or termination of membership without refund.
8.3. The Spa reserves the right to refuse entry or treatment to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
9.1. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise.
9.2. Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
9.3. Memberships are personal and non-transferable.
10.1. Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood accepts no responsibility for injuries, losses, or damages within the facility, except where caused by negligence.
10.2. Members and guests use all facilities at their own risk.
10.3. The Hotel reserves the right to change opening times, timetables, or facilities as required for maintenance or improvement.
